All of this has been probably asked, so just to clarify, as there will be, if i understand correctly, openWRT web interface, there will be option to easily wake up computers on network and also to set up pptp (vpn) server all trough web interface?

Although there is a web interface for OpenWRT I’m not sure there are LuCI plug-ins for these two packages. You might need to configure them using the command line which isn’t too hard. 
As a side note, consider using an alternative to PPTP since it’s known to be insecure, i.e. others could decrypt your traffic.
