I am wondering if there is a workaround or fix for this Omnia Turris resources cap
Personally, I do not think it’s slow. As I see it, Omnia is meant to route 1 Gbit/s – without encrypting or decrypting that traffic. So getting to half of that for an encrypted tunnel terminated on the Omnia, that feels actually surprisingly high to me.
