Why is SFP module not activated by default

Hi

I had to setup up again my turris omnia due to a corruption of the filesystem a few day ago. Everything went finde but then my WAN did not work. After about two hours I stumbled upon this: Turris OS 4.0 is out! where it says that the SFP (fiber) module has to be activated.

ln -sf armada-385-turris-omnia-sfp.dtb /boot/dtb && reboot

I mean, why isn’t this activated by default? Previously it was. And if there are maybe some good reasons to not activate it then please put a note in very big letters somewhere!
