What OS for LXC? (TVHeadend EPG grabber)

Hello…

just preparing to install LXC container @Omnia.
SSD disk, mounter to /srv/lxc
purpose: WebGrab+ grabber for EPG TVHeadend backend (XMLTV). TVHeadend running fine on TurrisOS.

  1. Is there is any reason to move it there

  2. What OS do you think is best choice nowadays?

  3. /srv/lxc isnt packed to the rollback, correct? I dont wanna create backups with container in them.

Looking at the installation instructions, it appears to require mono. That means it’s largely a Windows binary with some modifications to be able to be run on platforms that support mono and don’t have other Windows stuff.

Can you compile it for arm7l? Or is this only for x86 (or x86_64)? You should check that first.

According this, compiling doesnt looks much promising. Mono is no-go on LXC@Omnia?

Its little bit pain… I could try to seek something more linushi, but I just got so easy and good results with WebGrab+ for Czech TV Stations…

Closest I found is python grabber, but that one has input webs in some .bin files, not very user friendly form to make scrapper for Czech EPG.
