[Urgent] after update to 3.8.1 no dhcp service for ipv4 anymore

Hi,

automatic updater failed on upgrading from 3.6. to 3.8(.1). Rebooted the TO and updating was successful after that. I’m now on 3.8.1.

But now the “ipv4 dhcp service” does not work anymore! ipv6 (odhcp) does work.

If I restart ‘dnsmasq’ with ‘/etc/init.d/dnsmasq restart’ following error comes up:

udhcpc: started, v1.25.1
udhcpc: sending discover
udhcpc: no lease, failing

Please any hints how to debug or solve this.

Found file ‘/etc/config/dhcp-opkg’. Trying that file as ‘/etc/config/dhcp’ does work tentatively.

Now I have to find out, which option of my own configuration causes this failing…

Following was missing in my own (old) configuration:

option port ‘0’

It’s an annoying bug. Recommended suggestion currently is Update broke my router
