Updater does not update due to btrfs file system read-only

Hey,

yesterday evening I started getting strange emails from my turris omnia:

##### Error notifications #####
Updater failed:
[string "transaction"]:345: Error opening journal: Read-only file system

So now I tried a manual update, but it still doesn’t go through.

Any Ideas how to fix this?

Device	Turris Omnia - RTROM01

Turris OS version	3.8.2
Kernel version	4.4.89-cb5e816fa6b1a6b5342df69755869d71-2

Hello,
IF you have Omnia, then this si BIG problem. DO NOT RESTART!!
What do you say? @miska @cynerd

EDIT: Also write it on official tech.support@turris.cz

In between, check if you have in file /etc/opkg/distfeeds.conf ( cat /etc/opkg/distfeeds.conf )

this

src/gz omnia_base https://repo.turris.cz/omnia/packages//base
src/gz omnia_hardware https://repo.turris.cz/omnia/packages//hardware
src/gz omnia_lucics https://repo.turris.cz/omnia/packages//lucics

if not, copy this and rewrite. And run again updater.sh

This has nothing to do with update. Root is mounted read only. It can be corrupted. Please post kernel messages (dmesg) instead.

Yes @cynerd have right, this is Read only mount

But @cynerd why an SD card mounting script is running on omni?

I got this on Omnia as well (3.8.2):

Thats the dmesg. So whats up with the file system. Anything else I can check?

@cynerd anything you can see in the dmesg. Looks like there is some trouble with the file system…

Yes, corrupted drive (with btrfs). There are some threads on such issues already: https://forum.test.turris.cz/search?q=btrfs%20readonly

Okay,
so as there were no real other solutions in the other threads, I re-flashed the Omnia. Filesystem looks good for the moment. Let’s hope it doesn’t happen again.

Regards
