My Omnia is running a firmware version that is probably 18 months old. I have no idea why it has not been updated but I would like to run a current version.
I have checked the documentation. I could not find a way to address this issue.

You could „Re-Flash router“ (https://doc.turris.cz/doc/en/howto/omnia_factory_reset) with latest release using an usb-device and latest medikit as described in the link.
Maybe make a backup of your current configuration first (Foris -> Maintenance -> Configuration Backup).
Try updater-ng
(now replaced with pkgupdate
) or opkg update
(Manually upgrading)
If that doesn’t work try the suggestion from @protree
Thanks for the link. I have successfully reflashed my router.
I have just reinstalled my mSata drive. It was removed for the reflash but the drive is formatted, partitioned and has file stored on it. I have used LuCi to reconfigure the Samba share.
The drive has a mount point. The Samba configuration is complete but I get an error message from the Windows network folder in file manager that says “failed to retrieve share list from server”. Do I need to enable Samba and start it? If so how?
Cheers.
In SSH CLI (docs):
/etc/init.d/samba enabled
/etc/init.d/samba start
Thanks!
Found an error I made in the Samba configuration. Fixed it. Works like a charm now!
