Upcoming outage for Honeypot as a Service

Dear Turris users,

We want to inform you about the upcoming outage of the Honeypot as a Service.

The outage is planned for tomorrow (19th January 2022) from 09:00 (CET) and it should take around ~ 4 hours. During this time, SSH honeypot will not work for an entire period, but the website should be running nonetheless except for a few minutes. We will use this time to move the server to a new infrastructure and do the maintenance stuff as usual - updating it to the latest server, using new versions, etc.

This does not affect any other services as you are used to and we will keep you informed once the outage for HaaS will end.

So should we stop haas-proxy service? Likely it will fill up log with connection issues.

No need, if you do, will you turn it on manually afterwards? If you do, then you will be a rare case. Regarding filling up a log, there is a service logrotate that takes care of it which prevents filling up the RAM by system log.

Yes I mean stop temporarily then start again later when server is up.

It took longer than Honeypot as Service developers expected, and it was finished just now! SSH honeypot works as it should.
