Unpleasant surprise yesterday

Looks like my Omnia had tried to update, succeeded only partially, and then must have rebooted for some reason. No kernel modules were available, so no wifi. I could fortunately still ssh into the Omnia via a wired connection, killed and disabled ddns (that problem still hasn’t been fixed, guys, seriously?), then had to manually remove samba4, which seemed to kill any attempt to run the updater process. Only then was the updater able to complete and after another reboot I had a working network again.

I still think the Omnia is great hardware, but it seems like Turris is slacking somewhat on the software side.

unattended upgrades on critical infrastructure is quite a leap of faith thou
