I want to ask how could I make 2TB HDD something like synology NAS.

I would like to have various shared folders there with option to encrypt some of these.

Does anyone know how to do this properly?

Is there some chance that we will have some nice support from cz.nic developers?

This is not hard, in fact it’s why the NAS box was sold. Install samba to share files with windows/mac. Setup NFS to share files with linux. Use dmcrypt/luks to encrypt hdd/partition or ecryptfs to encrypt some directories/shares.
