System->Startup gives Error XHR request timed out

Hello when trying to access the system->startup page in Luci I get an error Error
XHR request timed out and nothing gets listed.
No log entries can be found.

Open the Developer Console in your browser, reload that page and look for errors.

Same problem in TurrisOS 5.3.5 and 5.3.7.

In my case, the problem is caused by a custom /etc/init.d script.
