Storage considerations

I would like to monitor my home (and snmp) devices with an LXC Container. I assume that will not be that wise to use the internal flash storage for many I/O operations. Any recommendations? Another option would be to install SSD, but in that case can I tell the container to use the SSD storage not the build in flash?

Regarding the LXC and storage, this might be helpful https://www.stgraber.org/2013/12/20/lxc-1-0-blog-post-series/

do a quick search on here, there are a few threads discussing how to store your containers on external storage, a few quick changes and you can put your containers off the internal flash. if you have the NAS option, or pick up a msata card you can easily use a standard spinning hard drive.
