Shipping Information for US orders

I got my shipping information on November 11. After poking at the shipping site for a few days (http://www.postnl.post) and getting a general response of “what package?”, I asked a question through the Indiegogo site and got this response (cleaned up for grammar, etc) that I am sharing in the hopes it will be reassuring or helpful.

The general experience is, that in the beginning package takes 2-6 days before it gets to transit. From the Czech republic to USA is fast, 3-5 days, then it is sometimes stuck in USA for 3-6 weeks (probably customs) and there is not so much we can do about it. Then it starts moving through USA to customer - this takes week or less.

These are not hard data or something we have statistical proven. It’s just impression which shipping made on support worker, which is answering emails “where is my package” all day long.

Thankfully that was the information I was looking for and I’m hoping this will help others waiting for their routers.

I checked the shipping site and it now shows in transit, rather than “what package?”.

I am caught in a similar dilemma as I have not received my Turris and I am moving (flying out today). There seems to be no way of directly contacting the courier, and finding a non-Indiegogo web site with contact information has proven elusive. I found info@turris.cz but have no idea if this will work.

When the tracking starts to work at https://tools.usps.com/go/TrackConfirmAction (in the case of USA delivery) then you can try to contact USPS about your shipment.

Is there an assumption that it will be delivered by the USPS? Because my Change of Address began yesterday.

At least some of the USA deliveries are being handled by USPS based on the discussions on here and Indiegogo site. For example see

It appears from the discussions that it ends up in the hands of the USPS, who should (using my forwarding address) get it to me eventually; of course the folks at info@turris.cz should be the ones to reassure me that I will receive it.

One interesting thing I discovered today:

The original email I received from “Label Print Tool” had two tracking numbers, and I assumed that one was for PostNL and one for USPS, but this was not correct. The number in the format “RS99999999NL” can be used to track your package once it is in the US via the USPS site.

Well, I finally got mine yesterday. What an ordeal. Is anyone else waiting for theirs?

I was excited to see it arrive in Chicago (about 4-5 hour drive from here) on November 22, then I see the USPS seemed to take my package on a tour to North Carolina (about 10 hour drive):

Glad you also received yours. Although i have received mine already for 2-3 weeks, it makes me also happy other people also finally have received theirs.

If you stumble upon problems, be patience and please do ask. Well be more then happy to help out other fellow backers

I’d mentioned before that http://www.17track.net is a great way to track your package in both PostNL and USPS from one website. I recommend that people who ordered from the US use that for tracking.

To date my Turris (in 2 separate orders) have yet to arrive via the USPS. I can track them until they disappear into the Ether (the nefarious one, not the netted one) of the postal system, but all I can do is pray (as prey) for the USPS to pull their “Big Girl” panties on and get me in the game.
