OK, by the looks of it, it should be made a bit more granular…
For example luci-app-transmission has dependency as transmission, but it makes little sense to “force” install it, if user does not have any NAS duties specified, etc…
(It means pretty much, that user does not have storage for downloads, hence why he would need transmission then?)
Right now, only viable workaround would be to disable whole “LuCI extensions”, but that means that all luci-app-* packages would be excluded from auto updates, even those which are actually required to have GUI for other packages.
Currently that whole concept looks a bit awkward to me, as updater should actually look for /etc/updater/auto.lua to see what was actually installed, instead of relying on somekind of hardcoded and pre-selected lists.
For quick setup current concept works fine but for continious system updating, not so much.
Also, there seem to be some duplicates between
https://api.turris.cz/openwrt-repo/omnia/lists/nas.lua
and
https://api.turris.cz/openwrt-repo/omnia/lists/luci-controls.lua
Mini-DLNA is listed in both, and Transmission too, also corresponding luci-app-* packages are listed in both lists.
Not quite sure, why it would be needed to update/install those twice, but hey…I did not build or designed it
(Actually they are listed at least in three lists, in base.lua as well as Voerner already pointed out earlier)
