Post here about the "upcoming update"

    `opkg update; opkg remove kmod-ath10k ath10k-firmware-qca988x; opkg install kmod-ath10k-ct ath10k-firmware-qca988x-ct`

Remove it from /etc/updater/auto.lua and updater will deinstall it and install a new one.

Thanks @miska that worked!

Very unfortunate …

had to “opkg remove kmod-ath9k-htc” then after the update “opkg install kmod-ath9k-htc”.

You should disable debug mode for aht10k_pci, it’s flooding dmesg…

Did run updater.sh, all went well. Not bad for a first official update :slight_smile:

I was wrong… i thought i installed “ath9k-htc” again, but …i get this…

Oops, looks like the fix was not enough. The problem is the firmware used to be part of the driver but has been split into separate packages for the LEDE project. The drivers has been ported from LEDE but the firmwares was not – compare LEDE repository and TurrisOS test branch.

Let’s hope @miska will fix that soon :wink:

@Ondrej_Caletka

Is it possible to get the *.ipk of the firmware or just the file it self and put it somewhere…where it belongs :slight_smile:?

You can get the file pretty simply, you can even get the package from LEDE project (it does not run on the router CPU so even arch is irrelevant). However, you have to put it in a respository, so updater won’t uninstall it. I’m going to write a quick howto on this soon, stay tuned.

@Ondrej_Caletka, Thanks :relaxed:

how to clarify everything is updated properly? I just run updater.sh, lot of messages appeared, but I am not sure everything went correctly.

You can run it again and it’s output should be almost empty.

yeahh this I did and its empty but anyway I would like to check some versions what was updated , if it is correct

The howto is here:
EDIT: This is not necessary anymore since current updater keeps track of locally installed packages.

Turris OS3.3 Update went smooth - thanks to you and all of your colleagues at cz.nic for the great work!

Hi Omnia Cz.nic team. Just did the manual update; everything updated without any apparent problems. Thank you for you Hard Work on getting this update out and ensuring it went so smoothly.:slight_smile:

@Ondrej_Caletka, Can you give me the link to the firmware file and where to put that file?
