Please support more linux tv tuner chip drivers - eg r820t - existing dvb-usb-rtl28xxu.ko gets Unable to find symbol r820t_attach presently

I purchased a TV tuner with linux support, but it breaks as follows:

[1633970.360638] usb 4-1.3: new high-speed USB device number 7 using xhci-hcd
[1633970.488931] usb 4-1.3: dvb_usb_v2: found a ‘Realtek RTL2832U reference design’ in warm state
[1633970.543246] usb 4-1.3: dvb_usb_v2: will pass the complete MPEG2 transport stream to the software demuxer
[1633970.543333] DVB: registering new adapter (Realtek RTL2832U reference design)
[1633970.553419] i2c i2c-9: Added multiplexed i2c bus 10
[1633970.553431] rtl2832 9-0010: Realtek RTL2832 successfully attached
[1633970.553446] usb 4-1.3: DVB: registering adapter 0 frontend 0 (Realtek RTL2832 (DVB-T))…
[1633970.554009] DVB: Unable to find symbol r820t_attach()

It appears that another kernel module is missing that is required for this to work.

Can driver support for this please be added?

Please dont make another same thread. It’s duplicated. You have one thread:

also please add there lsusb -t

There was no answer, because Turris team right now doesn’t officially support this forum.
For any problems use email: tech.support(at)turris(dot)cz

But I see available module on nightly branch (Index of /omnia-nightly/packages/base/ ) and it is also on “normal branch”:
kmod-media-tuner-r820t did you try to install it?

Thanks! I installed it and it works!

Hello,

Is your tuner T2 capable? I would welcome mention about working tuner@Omnia  (Branch, chip, photo maybe…)
