One miniPCIe seems to be broken...?

Hi, lately I’m having a problem with my Omnia. The 2.4GHz Wifi Card won’t work in the first (the one that is free when you get the Turris) PCIe Slot. (my msata / PCIe is already taken by an SSD)

‘lspci’ does not list it most of the time. If it is listed it shows up as

03:00.0 Network controller: Qualcomm Atheros AR9287 Wireless Network Adapter (PCI-Express) (rev 01)
and 1 minute later the “rev” changes to from 01 to ff:
03:00.0 Network controller: Qualcomm Atheros AR9287 Wireless Network Adapter (PCI-Express) (rev ff)

When I try to connect a client to it, it disappears instantly.

If I switch them around and put the 5GHz in the first Slot, then the 5GHz behaves strangely too… that’s why I’m assuming the fault is with the PCIe port, and not the wifi card.

My Questions:

  • is this an “known” issue for anyone here? The only thing I found, close to my problem was this post: Second WLAN adapter not detected
  • Does anyone know a 2.4 USB Dongle that works in AP mode and with Turris?

Turris Omnia
Turris OS version 5.1.3

After posting this, it’s magically working now. knockonwood  :face_with_hand_over_mouth:

For wi-fi USB modules try this ones.
