Any clue why all of a sudden no PCIe link is found? Is that referring to the mSATA SSD drive? Is it full or something alike?
I cleaned a number of snapshots (I thought Schnapps snapshots) before last rebooting.
That reboot then did not work :frowning:

Hope someone is able to give me driection,
Thanks a mile.

@goeck are you booting from msata?

Yes, I had to. My eMMC died one day, due to to too many small write requests.

Your SSD seems to be “sda”

but the system wants to boot from “sdc1”

I see… how come that?
I did not reconfigure anything with the boot process or the enumeration since the last time booting worked… :man_shrugging:

How can I change the boot device to be sda then?

Had time again to take care of my turris.
So it seems I was able to change the boot device to be sda1, using the linked guide.
One thing was, my turris is that old that I could not exactly do it as described. Had to change the bootargs instead of the boot_targets.

setenv bootargs earlyprintk console=ttyS0,115200 rootfstype=btrfs rootwait root=/dev/sda1 rootflags=subvol=@,commit=5 rw

I am, getting tons of these messages in the serial output.

What I am experiencing is well is, the webinterface does not seem to load and also the custom colorscheme of the RGB LEDs is never loaded…have to investigate that.

Anyways, so far, thanks for the effective guidance and help!

Are you sure you’re booting from /dev/sda1? The error messages are due to failures of mmcblk0 which is your eMMC storage.

What does mount report for the / mountpoint?

I would guess it really is.
Seems the because of the corrupt eMMC the system is just still kicking those messages.

The OS is fairly up to date, I am using the additional 120GB SSD since years now.
Also mount seems to give the answer that sda1 is mounted as /.
lsblk shows all my disk devices.

Yes, looks legit. Did you verify that schnapps is using the SSD for its snapshots?

Oh, good point, maybe I missed that back then when I added the SSD to the system.

root@turris:~# ls /etc/schnapps/
rollback.d

The schnapps folder is existant, but not the config file.
So I created it in accordance with the guide “Boot from SSD”.
Schnapps listing gives me a number of items
