Omnia 2020 how to check if board is broken?

Hello Team,

since last to last week (after two years of using omnia) I’ have suddendly lost internet connection. Everything is working fine -WIFI, administration, I did also updated it recently but without success. I have plugged the sfp module into another router, that is working well. I have connect the other rooter with Omnia via cable and that works as well.
I’m trying find the root cause but from the log I don’t see anything obvious.
Only remaining what comes in mind is the sfp plug on the board.
Do you have any idea what could be checked in order to determine the root cause?

Thanks.

The internal eMMC looks good.

But this looks troublesome.

This says the Ethernet link gets connected. But I don’t see any other references to eth2 saying a DHCP negotiation was done. Is your eth2 set to static addressing?

Yes, the FS module is detected, so it should not be a hardware issue in my eyes.
I have tried to use it as NAS early this year; bought the NAS case, fan, connecte two disks, but I haven’t finish the setup yet, they are still connwcted.

The network interruption came suddendly in the middle of the day while my wife was working and since then, it is not giving internet. The automated updates are off, so I would not expect anything should happen by itself.
The FS module and cable itself is working (proved in other rooter), I’ve removed the external hard drives to see if it helps, check the mother board for obvious demage. But could not indentified anything. I’m don’t have much knowledge in the linux and system. Let me check the DHCP setup.

Above some more information from the diagnostic. I wonder why it is saying eth2 is down, the SFP module removed.

Can’t it be overheating? It’s quite hot these days, and powering down is a thing the module could do protect itself.

I would not say, I have inbounded a fan for cooling.
Weird thing is a TP link media conventor connected to the network via same lighting cabel and module and with RJ45 to the Omnia is also is not giving any internet. I will question the network provider also.

don´t rule out power supply problems. maybe the sfp module draws a bit too much for the failing psu to handle and crashes. definitely check another psu before exchanging the board and stuff.
