Netboot MOX Power Wifi 6 (1GB) from Omnia not working

Host Device:

Turris OS version: 7.1.4
Turris OS branch: HBS
Kernel version: 5.15.148

Device: Turris MOX Power Wifi 6 (1GB)

I needed to extend the range and coverage given by my Omnia router, which I have been using for some time. At first, I purchased a MOX Pocket Wifi to use as a Netboot slave AP. Following the instructions on turris.cz, I managed to successfully pair the MOX with my Omnia and boot it. However I was disappointed that I could not configure it from reForis. I was unhappy to find from turris.cz that the the Pocket Wifi’s WNIC is limited in function and considered obsolete. So, I unpaired the Pocket Wifi, requested an RMA and ordered a Power Wifi 6 instead.

The Power Wifi 6 arrived yesterday. However, I cannot get it to pair, even though I followed exactly the same procedure as for the Pocket. It does not appear in the list of devices for pairing, even though the log shows it loading some files by tftp. I tried uninstalling the netboot package from reForis , purging the netboot config and tftp files and reinstalling netboot. No dice.

Please help!

Netboot is currently broken.

That’s odd - it seemed to work OK with the Pocket Wifi, even though that is obsolete… is there an issue on the tracker I can look at please?

The original MOX was apparently added at a time when everything was working.
