LuCI "Port Forwards" takes forever to load

When I go to

  1. LuCI
  2. Network
  3. Firewall
  4. Port Forwards

my browser takes forever to load.

I have tried several computers (iMac, MacBook, all running macOS) as well as browsers (Safari, Firefox, Chrome) and all reveal the same behaviour; ie. I am pretty confident that the problem is with Turris Omnia and not with my devices.

All other LuCI pages load within a blink of an eye.

I measured the duration with Firefox 57 on macOS High Sierra 10.13.1 starting on Network > Firewall > General Settings:

After 2 minutes 37 seconds (157 seconds), the list of port forwards was displayed.

When clicking “Edit” for any of the rules (it doesn’t matter which one), the wait continues:

After 9 minutes the edit form still has not displayed.
ADDENDUM: When I came back to the iMac, the page finally had loaded; my phone timer was past 16 minutes.

The list is not huge, I currently count 8 rules of which 2 are disabled and 6 are active. The file /etc/config/firewall has a size of 4742 bytes:

Hi,

I have the same experience. I don’t add or change port forwards that often, but recently I had to and the page took a very long time to appear and to save the changes that I had made. My Turris Omnia version is 3.8.5.

I had that problem briefly ( I’m on 3.8.5 and those pages load very fast for me) and I think it was due to the name resolution and reverse lookups on IP addresses. I use dnsmasq rather than kresd - not sure if that’s the cause.

I have the same problem. It takes - totally reproducable - more than two minutes to update the page.
