Is Turris OS x86 available as an ISO or other user-friendly installer?

Hi,

I just learned about the Turris project and was wondering if there’s a version positioned to compete with other x86 router packages like pfSense, preferably with something easier to install from like an ISO or other installer-type package like Calamares?

I’m trying to find a version of OpenWRT that is more user-friendly for installing on commodity x86 desktop/server equipment.

Am I reading this totally wrong? Like I said, just now learned of your company, so maybe I’m just having a fever dream or something.

Thanks

Turris-OS

Turris OS is the firmware that runs Turris devices.

Short answer is: no.

Turris OS runs on Turris devices only.

You can’t install TurrisOS on x86. TurrisOS is actually a customized OpenWrt for Turris HW. So at least you can check OpenWrt for x86 arch
