Hi @mbehun,
is there already a new build for Omnia based on the stable 2024.10? Are there still issues with the DDR Timing?
Thx,
Vienna

Ram training issues are not related to U-Boot version. There was simply 10-led mode in U-Boot added to simplify applying workaround for that issue. The issue is related to differeces in specific RAM chip used in production. So it depend more on how lucky you got for manufactured chip in your particular Omnia unit. I was lucky and both my Omnias do not manifest that issue. I even have set DDR speed to fixed 1600K using omnia-eeprom tool
Thx, are there informations about effected chips? So that those of us, who got them might consider them changed? I remember there was an offer to upgrade 1GB to 2 GB RAM, so that should not be the most difficult thing to do…

Well the memory is soldered to the board. Depends how difficult you consider replacing that. I am not part of Turris team. But if the workaround to use old ram training works for you there should be no disadvantages of just using it.
Edit: What I meant by that is old memory training is not for “broken” ram but simply different ones.
Thx for your reply - well if those, who are effected, know they might consider it. Troubleshooting my own omnia costs quite some time, so if there is an easy option to solve any issue, some might consider it. Since an upgrade to 2 GB RAM seems a nice thing to do anyways…
and the question about more recent u-boot for any turris device remains. I believe recent OpenWRT also relies on current u-boot…
