Installing AirPrint support (Cups)

Hi,

I’d like to setup AirPrint support for my HP network printer (not directly connected to Omnia by USB) - for that I need to install CUPS.

However, I didn’t find CUPS binaries in OpenWRT repositories. Did anyone solve this issue already? Can you give me a hint how to install and setup CUPS on Omnia?

Thanks

Does’t it support directly? From what I found most of HP network printers since 2010 support AirPrint

Nope. No AirPrint support at printer side.

There should be an openwrt package for cups. https://wiki.openwrt.org/doc/howto/cups.server
If it’s not part of the turris fork you may be able to build one using the sdk. https://api.turris.cz/openwrt-repo/omnia/OpenWrt-SDK-mvebu_gcc-4.8-linaro_musl-1.1.11_eabi.Linux-x86_64.tar.bz2

From what I understand CUPS can be used also for network printers as achim71 suggested
