How to install software packages when offline?

Hi, I’ve spent a few hours trying to do this and now need to ask for some help please.

Due to a house move I am without internet for a few months so have bought a data sim. I have inserted this into module G but do not see any gsm interfaces.

Am I correct in thinking to get the interface to show, I need the modemmanager package? If so, which OS do I choose from here: https://downloads.openwrt.org/releases/packages-23.05 because all the ones I have tried so far say incorrect architecture?

Any help I can receive would be much appreciated as I’m losing wife points, and the kids are nagging

Thanks

I believe

Thanks for the quick reply. Can I just check I am doing this properly as I still get an error:

Executing package manager

Unknown package ‘modemmanager’.

Errors

Collected errors: * pkg_hash_check_unresolved: cannot find dependency dbus for modemmanager * pkg_hash_check_unresolved: cannot find dependency libmbim for modemmanager * pkg_hash_check_unresolved: cannot find dependency libqmi for modemmanager * pkg_hash_check_unresolved: cannot find dependency libqrtr-glib for modemmanager * pkg_hash_fetch_best_installation_candidate: Packages for modemmanager found, but incompatible with the architectures configured * opkg_install_cmd: Cannot install package modemmanager.

If it’s a case of installing the dependancies, I can do that I think but may have to be trial and error and dbus has 13 entries in the package list and the error doesn’t indicate which one I need.

If there is a better/easier way to do this I’m happy to try it

I don’t really know this. (but I at least posted the URL with binary packages)

Ideal case is that you (temporarily) have some other way to get internet, e.g. a cheap router from your ISP, and you just connect your Turris as a client to that one.
