Dear Turris users,
As we will be more absent till 6th of January and there will be no releases till then (unless something major pops up), I wanted to share the state of our Turris OS releases. To let you know what is the current status and maybe inspire you to test something in case you get bored over the Christmas.
7.1.3
We are still polishing 7.1.3 release. After we released 7.1, some issues popped-up, most of them actually not related to the changes in 7.1 thought. We are working through them. We already released 7.1.1 and 7.1.2 and we are working on 7.1.3. We have some more fixes already in hbk if you are interested. We will release those in the beginning of January.
8.0
It lives in hbl and it is almost ready. We originally hoped to release it into RC before Christmas, but we didn’t. And it wasn’t because of the poll made by @viktor, don’t blame him 
Actual reason is more practical. Although it works well for Omnia and MOX, we are still having some issues on Turris 1.x that we need to tackle before releasing it. Apart from that, as I already mentioned, we are still in process of fixing various issues that were uncovered in 7.1. And that means, that we need hbk free to do fix-up releases. But if you have Omnia or MOX, 8.0 in hbl work quite well and you can start testing it and reporting what doesn’t work.
9.0
We are experimenting it in development branch. There is still quite some work needed before we push it into hbd. Mainly because our focus right now is 7.1 and 8.0. So nothing to play with at the moment, but hopefully at the beginning of the next year.
