Convert Omnia to NAS?

I build a RAID 2 version of the Omnia for a friend.

He has since purchased UniFi Dream Machine, claiming that he was having difficulty with the Omnia’s WiFi.

He would like to re-purpose the Omnia as a NAS. I think this is what I need to do:

  • disable WiFi (easily done via reforis)
  • connect to LAN via LAN port (not WAN)
  • disable DHCP and DNS (in the LAN section of Luci)
  • other steps?

Is this correct?

I believe that the question is not understandable … the default or target status is not clear
