Bash crashes on Turris 1.1

note: I would file an issue on GitLab but the signing-up is disabled.

I just migrated my old Turris 1.1 to btrfs and upgraded TOS 3.x to TOS 7.2 according to steps from the docs. During the setup, I noticed that bash crashes regularly. The “bug” is similar like described in closed issue turris/rainbow-ng#11.

Steps to reproduce

Press ctrl-c (to cancel current input) od ctrl-d (to logout) in interactive bash terminal. Suddenly, the bash crashes with:

reader_loop: bad jump: 8388608
last command: (null)
Aborting...
Shared connection to 172.*.*.1 closed.

The similar error is shown when I run rainbow help, as described in the issue linked above.

...
reader_loop: bad jump: 8388608
Aborting...

bash -c exit on Turris 1.x fails with "parse_and_execute: bad jump: 8388608" (#402) · Issues · Turris / Turris OS / Turris Build · GitLab @Pepe is on it🥳
