Are the antenna cables frequency dependent?

Hi,

I just bought a mSATA SSD for my Omnia 2GB. Trying to follow the instructions in Turris Omnia: How to connect an mSATA disk, I noticed that the cable from the 2.4 GHz card to the right antenna is to short to put the card in the other slot as shown in the video.

The cable from the 5 GHz card would be long enough. So can I just swap them or are there some technical differences between these cables ?

I swapped them and completely messed up my wifi connection. It seems I had the same issue

Swapping cables should be fine. I and others have done it. The diplexers have 2.4G and 5G sides, though (for example).
