What are your LXC usage

I just made installed LXDE, VNCSERVER at Turris 1.0 in debian LXC container and connected from Windows VNC terminal, pretty cool for “just router” device

Also installed bunch of debian packages like GIMP on screenshot running GIMP.

Also installed Mopidy music server to play music library (from Synology NAS driver) on turris with attached USB Soundcard with SPDIF TOSLINK directly into home audio system.

3 LXC’s:

  • Asterisk with FreePBX (much more faster than my old raspberry pi1)
  • PI-Hole
  • pyLoad

Thanks guys, keep this topic up!

Thanks, discovered mc!

It is possible to turn Turris or Omnia into complete internet server (FTP,DNS,WWW,EMAIL etc.) with administration ISPCONFIG that make easier other configuration. Tried on Turris 1.0 with LXC debian container but should be possible to do with other distro LXC containers as well. How-to’s here :

ISPCONFIG on my Turris 1.0

I am planning to install a few hubofallthings.com instances, but I haven’t done this yet. I imagine it will be Ubuntu based inside.

What is it? I tried to understand but can’t.

Hubofallthings is a way to take control over data that various services collect on you, and monetize it (or not) yourself.

Ubuntu, C++ build environment

@BeCube
Did you install Asterisk/FreePBX manually in the LXC container or did you use a FreePBX distro image?

Manually :wink:
With a looooot of time-consumption :frowning:
