Hello, I just wanted to have a quick check with you guys. After having the following issue with auto-upgrade as many people described here:
I had to disable the Automatic Update feature, as it automatically upgraded and bricked my Omnia again and again. I’ve noticed 6.0.1 is out. I want to check with anyone who had that issue as well, if when enabling the auto-update it will use 6.0.1 and if the problem is not present in 6.0.1.
some info would be helpful. like, which version of the omnia (1.0 or 2020), which branch (hbs, hbt,…) and if anything non-standard is installed. and what is the last version that works.
for i have an omnia 2020, and the only bugs i encounter on HBS on 6.0.1 is that the firewall logs are broken.
on hbk 6.0.1, there was a small update that broke wifi connection…
MIGHT it be you come from TOS5.X and want to upgrade to 6.0?
the things i´d recommend : use another browser to connect to the router locally, check the “interfaces” section, for there will be a one time fix-up iirc, reboot the omnia at least once … after that, everything should be up and running again.
People are still reporting issues as you can see here in the forums, so I decided to disable auto-update and wait for 6.0.2, hopefully it will be already a stable release.
So I updated from 5.5.5 to 6.0.1 and other than having to reboot once manually after the update things just continued working as before. That said, I only exercise a small subset of my omnia’s capabilities (SQM, PAKON, adblock, dynamic dns, 2.4&5 GHz WiFI, specifically no VLANs) but still giving that OpenWrt does not really support updates across major versions I think this worked reasonably well (that is I expected more bumps and issues even for pretty boring configurations like mine). But at the same time I understand that I was lucky and that those affected by bigger issues are understandably less impressed.
Since I upgraded to Turris OS 6.0, my Nextcloud doesnt work claiming that upgrade between multiple versions is not supported (from 20.x to 22.x). How to solve it without losing any data - upgrade to 21.x first I guess, but how?
