Turris IPv6 prefix delegation behind UPC/Vodafone compal router

Being fresh customer of UPC, I have their modem|router with native IPv6 and tunelled Ipv4.
I’d like to bridge the IPv6 and NAT the IPv4 - any experience regarding this|similar setup?

My goals are:

  • to have native IPv6 connectivity on network hosts
  • keep possibility of tracking the network traffic using PAKON
  • being able o restrict/manage the network security using turris iptables/firewall

My previous setup was Turris doing IPv4 NAT and IPv6 connectivity via vpsFree OpenVPN tunnel…

ok, after some time I realized the “trick”:
…to have IPv6 prefix delegation working with UPC/Vodafone and Compal router:

  1. factory reset the router (hint come from root.cz discussion)
  2. configure the stateful ipv6 configuration
  3. for WAN ensure that: option reqprefix '64' is in config
  4. for LAN include this: option ip6assign '64' (or set it with GUI)

that’s it.
