Solved: System log returns error 500

Ever since I started using the Omnia, I have gotten this error whenever I attempt to access the system log in LuCI:

500 Internal Server Error

Sorry, the server encountered an unexpected error.

/usr/lib/lua/luci/dispatcher.lua:460: Failed to execute call dispatcher target for entry '/admin/status/syslog'.
The called action terminated with an exception:
/usr/lib/lua/luci/template.lua:97: Failed to execute template 'admin_status/syslog'.
A runtime error occured: [string "/usr/lib/lua/luci/view/admin_status/syslog...."]:1: attempt to index global 'syslog' (a nil value)
stack traceback:

I do have updates turned on, and they appear to be updating as they should.

Any pointers to what might be wrong, and what I can do to resolve it?

Best regards

Hello

The reason is that you propably enabled and then disabled Turris Project data collection.
On disabling Turris removes some packages and then removes one important directory.
Just login on ssh or open LuCI command window and type two commands:

mkdir /etc/syslog-ng.d
/etc/init.d/syslog-ng restart

Thank you Cabal,

You were absolutely spot on with your diagnosis and fix.

Again, Thanks!

It is not mine diagnosis.
I found it here and applied to mine Omnia just before your question:)
