Sending of firewall logs online, but status updated a log time ago / how to enable nikola

can anyone please point out how to enable nikola. Additionally it would be nice if anyone could provide insight in how it could have been disabled. I suspect an update, but may be wrong. Last log entry of nikola was from 2017-03-14.

First I received mails, that both Firewall and uCollect were down. When I logged into the router there was an error message pointing to some file, which I deleted and reinstalled via some update mechanism. After restart the error message was gone, but
I am still receiving mails like:
During the previous day, following downtime of your router “Router 1” was recorded:

Firewall: 24 hours
uCollect: 0 hours

I checked “About” and found:
Device Turris Omnia - RTROM01
Turris OS version 3.6
Kernel version 4.4.51-627f0117679bc72ef5e58881035f567a-3
Sending of uCollect data Online (status updated 100 seconds ago)
Sending of firewall logs Online (status updated 1289938 seconds ago)

After browsing this forum I came on Nikola, thus I run.
root@turris:~# /usr/share/nikola/bin/ --help

(would have been nice if --help was implemented )

After that “about” was reset to 0 seconds, but I suspect, that I still need to enable the normal mechanism that calls nikola on a regular basis.
