Which one do you got?
You want to create a host computer with a Wi-Fi bridge. I was about the same. In my Turis MOX, in its initial configuration wizard (Foris), I went for:
- Step Guide Workflow: Local Server
- Step Network Interface: no WAN
- Step LAN: LAN mode: Computer
The remaining settings and steps do not matter and can be adjusted as you like. Those three steps disable NAT, turn off the firewall and turn off the DHCP server. That is very much your path 2a. Therefore, I am asking which IP you got.
After going through the wizard, you have to enable Wi-Fi. At the end, I faced IPv6 issues and had to do this…
