Hi,
I’m using my omnia as my main router and it’s been perfectly stable so far.
Now, about 5 hours ago I upgraded from 3.11.8 to 3.11.9 and immediately rebooted after the upgrade.
The update completed on 2019-11-20 19:37:42 +0100. And about half an hour ago, my omnia entered a reboot loop for 5-20 reboots. There was always a ~2 seconds window where I could ping it, just before it rebooted again. I have not seen this behavior before.
I wonder how could I debug this? AFAIK there are no logs saved, to minimize the eMMC wear…
For now I’m just waiting for it to occur again, as I don’t know how to trigger it. I’m also not sure if it is related to the recent upgrade to 3.11.9. I think it could as well be a HW issue. I’m monitoring network connectivity now (via a simple ping -D -i 30 omnia) and saving dmesg output every second to an external SSD connected to the omnia.
I think a last resort might be changing PSU and setting up serial logging.
Thanks.
Mearon
