Hi,
I have a question about the default software and hardware from the turris omnia: does it support 802.11s, out of the box, on the 802.11 ac card?
I know I can just go check the wifi card version of the turris omnia, and search for the support of this, but firmwares version, software version, hardware revisions can be tricky, so I’m searching for an answer that would be the closest possible to the reality.
So, does the turris omnia support 802.11s at VHT rates (802.11ac)? Does it support ad-hoc mode at VHT rates (802.11ac) ?
I’m not this interested for the 802.11n card.
Thanks in advance,
R

iw phy0 info | grep "Supported interface modes" -A 9
Supported interface modes:
* managed
* AP
* AP/VLAN
* monitor
* mesh point
valid interface combinations:
* #{ AP, mesh point } <= 8, #{ managed } <= 1,
total <= 8, #channels <= 1, STA/AP BI must match, radar detect widths: { 20 MHz (no HT), 20 MHz, 40 MHz, 80 MHz }
With the current version of wpad-mesh
in the TO repo there might be an issue with VHT80 for encrypted mesh channel settings that however been fixed in OpenWRT hostapd: fix VHT80 for encrypted mesh channel settings · openwrt/openwrt@ba5ec6b · GitHub
AFAIK the Omnia router is not EasyMesh™ certified.
