I think it’s something different. In that topic they are discussing a system where the wireless card is not detected at all. In my case it’s detected, but not active. In luci the card is listed as “Wireless is disabled or not associated”.
Try with a wifi reset through Foris (bottom of wifi page) and see if cures the issue perhaps.
