Multiple DNS issue with kresd without config change (detect_time_skew, priming cannot resolv)

Hello,

I have an issue since yesterday evening with kresd. I got the following error:

I checked the time on the router and its correct but well I don’t know what else to check. Also, I didn’t change anything in the config since at least one year so maybe an update could be the cause.

Is there any workaround to solve this ?

The log lines don’t really say anything beyond the fact that DNS doesn’t work.

If the connection work otherwise (say, ping 9.9.9.9), I would start by checking that the upstream DNS servers are OK. Quick way: just try different settings in Foris/DNS, e.g. with “forwarding” unchecked or selecting a different provider in the list underneath.

Hi,

I forgot to mention the internet connection is not working.

So I disable the DNS forwarding and VPN and now everything works fine. However, I don’t where/what I should look to fix the issue. Or maybe the issue is only the upstream DNS.

Hi again,

With the DNS forwarding everything works fine. So I suppose the issue is not related to the DNS but the VPN. So I’m closing the thread. Thank you.
