Logread broken?

Hi!
Am I the only one to experience problems wit logread?

root@Omnia:~# logread
Failed to find log object: Not found
Failed to find log object: Not found
Failed to find log object: Not found
Failed to find log object: Not found
Failed to find log object: Not found
Failed to find log object: Not found

Do you have the same problem?

Cheers,
James

the system logs are stored in “near standard linux” /var/log/messages

Yes, thanks but I know that.

I wanted to know if logread works for other people. Because somewhere in my mind I thought it worked when I got the device.

I simply do not have the /var/log/messages file, maybe you dont have it either , thats why logread does not work?

I confirm it does not work for me either, with the same error message “Failed to find log object: Not found”

I have a same problem. Isn’t it a problem, that turris os is using syslog-ng instead of logd?

I think yes. It should be more like in SW bugs subforum, logread seems to be related to openwrt, not turris-os. It should be replace by tail -n XX /var/log/messages link or something.

Just letting you know, that this is going to be fixed in Turris OS 3.11.3. Thank you @dibdot!

If you want to get it working now, you can take a look at this issue:
