Lock DHCP-device

I have two or three devices that I don’t know and that get their IP from the DHCP of the Turris Omnia. Now I want to lock them temporarily to find out what it is.

Unfortunately, I don’t know how to do this. Can anyone help me?

Thank you in advance.

Suppose lock is meant to prevent those unknown devices from being assigned an ip via DHCP from the TO?

Such would only work with MAC filtering and afaik such feature is available only for WLAN but not for LAN connectivity.

MAC filtering for WLAN can be configured via LuCI

Else you could disconnect the devices you know from the router network and see what remains of your other devices.
Or run a LAN scanner application from a desktop or smartphone and discover which is which.

In addition LuCI provides also an overview of active DHCP leases

Thank you, n8v8r.

You helped me a lot. I thought that locking in the LAN was not possible - but I was not sure.

I will now use a network scanner.

Not sure if this is the right topic but I want to prevent some MAC address from receiving an IP via DHCP.

My guess is that it should be possible via firewall rules.

netfilter has indeed support for dropping (DHCP) traffic to/from mac addresses, which is different from the hardware filter provided by the WLAN chipsets and neither frontend (Foris/LuCI) is catering for it.
