I have kresd disabled on my turris omnia: “/etc/init.d/kresd disable”. I run “bind”. After the latest software update (TurrisOS 5.1.10) name resolution was broken and I noticed kresd was running again. Is this to be expected?
Apparently kresd is started by /etc/config/resolver. I removed it as “preferred_resolver” and it no longer starts. The whole ‘double layer’ configuration with uci always gets me into this kind of trouble. I suppose it’s nice to run an out of the box solution, but just gets in the way when you want to do something more complicated or more ‘standard linux’ like.
