Is 'LAN' interface somehow protected by TurrisOS software?

Hello,
I’m trying to rename my management interface on Omnia 6.2.4, as it is currently called ‘LAN’ to ‘Management’ as this VLAN is called everywhere else on my network.

As in Luci it seems that you can’t modify the name, I tried to create a new interface with the target name and then delete the ‘LAN’ interface.

I am able to create the new interface, with an IP different from the 1st, and I’m able to connect to Luci with this IP.
But, then, I am not able to delete ‘LAN’ interface. Each time I try, a roll back is applied and the 2nd IP is no longer available (strange )

When I look in uci export network ‘LAN’ interface has go a line different from the other interfaces:

option _turris_mode 'unmanaged'

Is it TurrisOS that is preventing the deletion of ‘LAN’?

Edit:
I was able to make the rename using uci in network, but it doesn’t ensure coherent changes across all config files.
