“discard” doesn’t work on all drives, and some Evo are explicity blacklisted because they advertise support but they don’t (caused data loss in the past). Much better to use fstrim for the time being.

Yah, I read about that too (which is why I did not go for that option).
It also seems to often cause an enormous performance-drop (kind of defying the purpose) when used with BTRFS.
