Google Fiber and the Turris Omnia

Our city is emplacing the Google Fiber. It comes with its own router and TV box. The installation runs the fiber in to the house and then provides an ethernet cable connection off a transceiver (so no direct plug into the Omnia). I have been reading on other forums on Goggle’s implementation and the Google box is looking for a VLAN2 for the connection. In these other forums, the response has been to buy a switch and configure it for a VLAN2 into the outside and use the switch to buffer the signal to the router. Has anyone done this straight through to the Omnia and the WAN port for that framing? Or even advice?
