So I have a Dahua pan, tilt, zoom ip camera. It is connected to my Omnia router via cat5 cable. When I power the camera up it works flawlessly for about an hour. I am using Blue Iris security camera software running on a stand alone PC that is also Ethernet cabled to the same router. After about an hour the camera becomes unreachable from its IP address however it is still streaming video just fine. I can ping the camera just fine. I simply cannot log onto it nor can the blue iris software send the camera commands such as zoom, or pan or anything. I switched routers to a Netgear r7000, and the problem goes away. I tried setting the DHCP lease time to infinite for the camera’s that didn’t fix. Any suggestions. It’s gotta be a setting in the Omnia.
