Connecting an Omnia to a Virgin Media Hub 3

Troubleshooting Setup of Omnia

I followed the suggested steps from directions suggested in the Forum:
Unable to use Omnia with Virgin Media cable router in Modem Mode - #8 by gerv
So for anyone else with this problem:

  1. Switch off the Omnia
  2. Unplug all Ethernet cables from your VM box except the Omnia (into the Modem mode port)
  3. Connect to VM box wifi or via Ethernet and use web interface to switch it to Modem mode
  4. Watch it reboot
    5 . Wait until it has finished and the lights calm down
    Power on the Omnia
    Wait until it has fully booted
    Check that you can access the Internet via a cable plugged into the Omnia
