Would it be technically possible to connect two cards to mini PCIexpress slot closest to CPU? The slot is capable either mSATA or standard PCIexpress operation. In my understanding pins used should be separate, thus by theory, it should be possible to create miniPCIexpress card adaptor which would host two miniPCI express cards. One would use mSATA capability only and second one PCIexpress lane. Similar topic discussed here nevertheless this is different use case.
They use the same data pins on the connector and the SoC. The only difference is polarity on the rx lane and line capacitance.
You can’t have the same pins and two different functions at the same time.
