Assign physical LAN port to LXC machine

Hello,

  • I have one Turris configured as “computer” and connected to LAN. DHCP is done by other, main router.
  • on this Turris are running several virtual LXC machines
  • I have managed switch, where is one port configured as mirror, currently there is connected raspberry which is analyzing traffic

What I would like to achieve is to use LXC machine on Turris instead of RPi. Is there any way how to bind one of physical LAN ports to that LXC?

I hope I described it clearly:-)

Hello all,
same question here. I would like to assign one of physical LAN ports to a LXC container. How to do that?
Thanks

You can not assign HW port to software.
Software uses IP addresses, not physical ports.
You can configure separate network and assign a LAN port to that network, configure IP and then configure the software (lxc) to use that IP.

I’m not sure whether you can configure lan port as mirror on turris.
